From
an early age, Sumantha had a fascination with cutting hair. Her exposure
to the beauty industry interested her in other areas, and so the idea
for ANYA was born. In
2004, after her degree, she decided to pursue her dream, and as they say,
the rest is history...
In 2004/05
Sumantha qualified as a L'Oreal trained Hairdresser and received training
from a revered Vidal Sassoon colourist and stylist. She also had the opportunity
to learn from the very best at the London College of Fashion where she
attended to become a Make-Up Artist specialising in special occasion and
photographic make-up. Here her training was, and still is, affiliated
with leading cosmetics brand M.A.C.
Whilst she
was still a trainee,
Sumantha launched ANYA
and had her very first client - here's what her client said:

Sumantha's
style of fusing the east with the west is a winning combination of diversity
and flexibility, whilst maintaining the vision to adhere to traditional
looks.
Her
ability to tailor styles to suit and enhance the unique beauty in people
means that clients always look and feel their best on their special day.

experience with working with people from various backgrounds and tastes,
