The course will cover the following in detail: Skin Preparation You will understand the different skin types and how to set your basic foundation for an excellent make-up application. Foundation Selection & Application This will teach you how to determine which type of foundation is needed for different skin types, colour matching, mixing colours and application. Eyes & Eyebrows Asian brides commonly like to have prominent eyes, using colours which compliment their outfit. We will cover eye make-up techniques which will enable you to blend various colours together, looking at what sorts of colours suit darker skin tones, as well as learning how to create dramatic eyes. Lips & Cheeks This covers the techniques behind applying precise, long lasting and even lip colour. It also covers ways in which to enhance lip shapes and the highly precision red lips. You also learn how to sculpt the face using blushers and highlighters. Photographic Make-Up We will teach how professional lighting and camera's affect you as a make-up artist and you will learn how to create a series of looks using techniques suitable for professional lighting and camera's. Cultures and Traditions We will start by taking a look a the different cultures and how that affects how they dress on their wedding day. - Bengali (hindu) - Bengali (muslim) - Gujarati - Punjabi - Pakistani Carrying Out a Trial & Consultation We will teach you how to conduct a professional Trial & Consultation with your bride to ensure that both you and her are happy with the make-up look/s you have decided upon. You will learn how to communicate so that you extract all the correct information, factors to take into consideration, and how to give advice in a professional diplomatic manner. Face Decoration & Bindi Setting You will learn how to paint face decoration common in traditional weddings, including bindi setting. Chunni/Veil Setting We will cover the ways in which to secure the chunni or veil as many cultures require the bride's head to be covered. We will use light veils, heavy ones, and also see how to tie a sari so that the head is also covered. Jewellery We will look at securing jewellery onto the head to ensure that it looks professional and is securely placed. Tying a Sari You will learn how to tie a sari in a variety of ways to suit different cultures and requirements. |
